Uplift and Empower Scholarship Fundraiser: Year 2

Thanks to your incredible generosity the Uplift and Empower scholarship fund selected two scholarship winners who both received $500 scholarships and got paired with mentors for their first year of college!

Now, it’s time to start raising money for year 2 of the scholarship, and THIS YEAR, the goal is to raise $2,000 to support four students!

I’ve added a little twist to this year’s fundraiser, and I’m calling it the #ReadingtoUplift challenge!

To join:
1. Read 5 pages of any book.
2. Donate 5 dollars to the Uplift and Empower Scholarship GoFundMe (link in comments).
3. Nominate 5 of your friends to read and donate as well!

Take a photo of yourself holding the book you’ve read to spread the word!

This challenge was inspired by the RUN FOR HEROES campaign. In honor of the original idea, I walked a 5k around central London on July 17th at 11 am EST and gave my community a virtual tour of the city through Instagram live.
